Mall of Asia

The beauty of being in the city is that every time you’re bored, you can just go to the mall and problem solved. There’s so much to do in the mall, that your feet will probably be so sore before you get home – I know, I’ve done that. I’ve tried walking SM Megamall and my feet ached so much after. What more if you’re walking through one of the biggest malls in Asia?

Mall of Asia is located in Pasay City. It’s divided into 4 buildings – or four semi-connected buildings that are huge, air-conditioned and at the same time, had large open air areas where people could just hang out and breathe air.

An intake of the mall can sometimes be too much for anyone and the best thing about Mall of Asia, is that it provides not only some old fashioned shopping and games and food, but a taste of a little bit of the ocean air.

Mall of Asia is located along the Manila Bay, outlining a portion of it and the area at the back of MOA is also known for many students and some families and friends (especially at night), the “Hangout”. This is because the location at the back has been turned into a mini-playground.

There’s a huge carousel, a Zagu booth, some food stalls and even some bars somewhere along the way. During Christmas the walkway was brightened up with a huge Christmas tree right in the middle, lights hugged every tree around – the perfect photo opportunity for everyone in the family.

As you may have noticed, I have a weakness for beautiful sunsets and while I was unlucky to see the full sunset there, I was able to watch the sun go down, although not as striking as usual because of the clouds, but the dimming rays, floating over the tranquil waters and unpolluted, relaxing air was enough to make anyone’s day perfect.
