Must haves
What is the one item that you can't travel without? I never travel without my computer and wifi is a must at any hotel I stay at.

I must have my own pillow. I use to be able to take it right on the airplane with me, but I am not sure that they let you do that anymore, so I always pack it in my suitcase. It makes for a much better nights sleep. I use to be like you and take my computer with me, but then found myself doing more work than play on my vacations. Now the computer stays home and I don't worry about anything but having a good time.

Okay, so this isn't a practical 'must have' question, but more of a personal obsession item. Traditionally, for me it's been my camera because I've been very camera-happy over the years. I love to take pictures.

I have a small pillow and blanket for plane rides (I always end up being cold on the plane). As well my new bag that can cram all my on board goodies inside it.

I'm a sucker when it comes to needing my camera and laptop. The only time that I wouldn't take my laptop is if I were going camping. Then, I'd probably want my camera and my pillow.

I always like to make sure I have a camera with me as well. And I have to completely agree with bringing your own pillow. I don't care how nice the pillows are...it isn't the same as my own pillow.

I would certainly say my laptop and camera. I would also have to add my iPod and books for long flights and lengthy train/bus rides.

I have to take my electric toothbrush as I just can't use a manual any more. This means, of course that I have to take the charger too!

A cell phone charger can be picked up just about anywhere if you need a replacement (within reason, not like "Hey I am going to the Amazon, oops forgot the charger, let me go get another one"). I think the cell phone would be more important. :)

A lot of good answers already.  I always take my own pillow when I travel.  I also always take my cell phone- heck I take that to town with me.  I don't usually take a computer though.

I like traveling a lot but I have the motion sickness so I always carry an inhaler with menthol. It always relieves me whenever I feel sick.

The other thing that I always bring is my passport. Laughing

Seriously, I always bring the camera because my fiancĂ©e cannot travel without it.

There's a lot of personal pillow folks here.  I've never had that kind of connection with a pillow so that is fascinating.  I would probably add laptop to camera except I don't have a laptop. ;}

I can't go traveling without my iPod with me. I easily get bored when I travel.

If I'm just a passenger then I watch a video from my iPod. If I'm driving then I listen to it.

I never travel without a book. This is my cure for boredom when traveling. I easily get bored when I travel long distances and I can't get sleep while inside a moving vehicle. The book is a must when I travel because it keeps me busy and entertained at the same time.
