Known by a variety of clever names, the annual Testy Fest, held in Rock Creek Lodge just outside of Clinton, Montana is America's largest party devoted to the testicle. About 15,000 revellers and testicle devotees come party every year, usually sporting hats, shirts and buttons reading "I had a ball at the Testicle Festival". It is usually held in the first weekend of August, but check with Rock Creek Lodge to be sure.

No one under 21 is admitted into Testy Fest. Also, no is allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages. Selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is one of the main ways that Rock Creek Lodge can afford to put on this annual testicle party. Still, things can get mighty rowdy and expect people to loose most of their clothing before the celebration is through.

Two of the traditional contests involve partial nudity – a wet T-shirt contest for girls and a hairy chest contest for guys -- or perhaps that's the other way around. It depends on how many cases of beer go into the planning of that night's particular event. This is another reason why no kids are allowed.

Other Events

Just what else can do you do at Testy Festy, besides eyeball naked revellers? The big attraction is the food – deep fried bull testicles (also called "Rocky Mountain oysters".) In between munchies, revellers can play cow bingo. This is where a field is divided into a bingo card and a cow or two is released while human players hold onto regular bingo cards. Where ever the "chips" fall from the cow is how one marks the bingo card.

Other contests include a bull chip throwing contest. In case you do not know what bull chips are, you may be unpleasantly surprised to learn that they are various dried bovine excrement. Be sure to pack along plenty of hand sanitizer if you plan to participate in this contest. There are also several live music acts to dance around chips to.

Although it may seem strange or novel to devote a huge party to a small body part, many civilizations have held celebrations about the male sex organs. These celebrations were usually in conjunction with annual fertility festivals which often happened in the spring. These festivals were thought to be essential magical rites to keeping the crops and livestock fertile. Well, that was the excuse, anyway.
