After our exciting inter-branch summer outing at Pearl Farm Beach Resort, we decided to stay for another day for an extended vacation. Well, it was no longer part of the all-expense paid trip so we had to pay for the expenses we had incurred.

Panglao Island Nature Resort is one of the quiet beach resorts in Panglao, a 4th class municipality in the province of Bohol.

Since the NHL Stanley Cup ice hockey playoffs are coming to an exciting end, it’s probably a good time to head up to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. While hockey’s basically a winter game, it’s usually pretty busy up at the Hall during the summer months.

It’s sort of funny how there are only about five million people living in Ireland, but are about 10 times that amount of Irish people living elsewhere in the world. In fact, it’s hard to walk down the street of just about any major city in the world without running into an Irish pub. For a small country, it sure has a lot of links and history to it.

When people think of places to travel to in Asia, they often overlook Laos. But if you’re looking for some great countryside, historical villages and a bit of city life, this is a great place to check out. There are between six and seven million people living in the country, which is landlocked and surrounded by Myanmar, China, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
 

The beauty of being in the city is that every time you’re bored, you can just go to the mall and problem solved. There’s so much to do in the mall, that your feet will probably be so sore before you get home – I know, I’ve done that. I’ve tried walking SM Megamall and my feet ached so much after. What more if you’re walking through one of the biggest malls in Asia?

Antipolo City has a lot of resorts. In fact, aside from Laguna, it’s probably one of the cities that has a lot of resorts and pool, possibly because of the great view and the large area. So when summer time comes, the city is one of the busiest places.

Most of the major cities in the world have a river running through them. This, I suppose, is often why a city was built in a specific geographical location, because it was next to a river. The rivers were often used as a transportation gateway as well as for other things years ago such as sources of food.

So, I may be changing subjects a bit. Unfortunately, I don’t have my pictures of the rest of my trip in Palawan yet so I decided to move along with the subject. Living in Manila and looking for a unique place to spend an afternoon in? Here’s something really unique – a floating restaurant!

A lot of people may not realize it, but there’s also a Disneyland in Hong Kong. This is a great place to take the kids if you’re ever there. It’s a pretty popular place, but probably nothing will equal the American one. However, the Hong Kong Version also has quite a lot of adventures and attractions that are specifically aimed at Hong Kong culture and history.
